Updating Zorro 2.40 to Zorro 2.44 - questions and remarks
- How do I update a live trading Zorro without
losing open trades? Find the procedure under Trading.
- Why do I get error messages
although the script compiled fine in previous versions? Either a script
bug is now detected by a better filter, or the script accidentally used
the same name as a newly implemented variable or function, or the script
used a deprecated variable or function that was now removed. Deprecated keywords are
still available in legacy.h,
which can be fully or partially included when needed.
Why do I get a different
backtest result? Either because of updated price histories and asset parameters,
or because of one of the changes listed below. If in doubt, compare both logs.
- Why can't I test the new Z system?
You need recent
price data, so make sure to get it from the Zorro download page.
- Why are my Zorro.ini,
Z.ini, or asset list changes
gone? They are overwritten by any installation. Therefore always
use individual asset lists, store Z system
settings in individual .ini files (Z1.ini,
Z2.ini, etc.), and have your Zorro.ini settings

Future Zorro features
If you want a new Zorro function or feature, there are two ways to get it.
You can either pay us for implementing it, and donate it to the community. Or you can suggest it on the
in the Zorro Future
you can also comment or support features suggested by other users. We
normally implement suggested features when they are useful
(give a usage example), popular
other users), backwards compatible
(won't break existing
scripts), and efficient
(save code in a script). How long it takes depends on the usefulness of the
feature and how hard it is to implement. Donated features have priority.
